LO1: Planning of Narrative - Use for script and storyboard

PLANNING - KIM  EDITING - GEORGIA filming will start with sound of clock ticking as we show the title  it will then show a clock - matching the sound of the clock ticking.  camera will fade into Connor (actor) walking through corridors. can hear them talking to themselves (internally) this will be voiceovers from other actors  follows them through the corridor and then pans across as they walk past and splits as it pans into the office room.  it'll initially show blurred clipboard and pan upwards, as if following the eye line of the therapist, this would then show Connor again.  as the therapist is asking them questions based off their past and how they are currently doing the camera will be changed to be behind the shoulder of the therapist as Connor answers the camera will flick between the therapist pov and Connors pov while Connor thinks of their answer. sound will be very loud silence between the shorter answering time  answers will be fast initia...

LO1: Regulations and Legal considerations

Image
GEORGIA For our short film, we need to take into consideration some of the regulation, ethical and legal issues surrounding our production and actual content of our project. In terms of our regulation issues, our short film would need to be age rated in terms of appropriate language, violent imagery or any upsetting content. By setting an age rating for our short film, we avoid getting sued for offending or damaging our audience as it limits certain groups of people. We think that the BBFC would give our short film a 12A age rating as it doesn't include any graphic details but some parts are triggering such as the mental health and DID reveal. 'Our Life' is going to be distributed to all team members, meaning they will each have a copy of the short film. We would upload this video to Youtube and then link it onto our blogs.  Some legal issues which need to be addressed in our short film is health and safety. We counter these by completing some risk assessment fo...

LO1.2: Proposal

PURPOSE   - Lily The purpose of our film is not only to entertain our audience but also to inform them about DID ( Dissociative identity disorder).  DID is a mental health condition in which people have two or more separate identities. These personalities control their behavior at different times. Each identity has its own personal history, traits, likes and dislikes.  We intend to have our audience learn something about the condition whilst also being entertained by the content. By addressing this in our short film, many people will likely find it easier to take in the information since it will be presented visually and they will be able to see what is happening rather than just read about it. FORM AND GENRE  - Kim  The form of our audio-visual product that we are making is a 5-10 minute long informative and entertaining short film. The purpose of our short film is to entertain and inform people on what the mental illness DID is, with a dramatised therapy sessi...

LO1: BBFC Age Rating

Image
We are aiming for our short film to be of the age rating PG according to the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) guidelines. This is because there isn't any strong language or sexual/violent scenes, however the mentions of mental illness may be upsetting to some people.
