LO1: Planning of Narrative - Use for script and storyboard

PLANNING - KIM
EDITING - GEORGIA
  • filming will start with sound of clock ticking as we show the title
  • it will then show a clock - matching the sound of the clock ticking.
  • camera will fade into Connor (actor) walking through corridors. can hear them talking to themselves (internally)
  • this will be voiceovers from other actors
  • follows them through the corridor and then pans across as they walk past and splits as it pans into the office room.
  • it'll initially show blurred clipboard and pan upwards, as if following the eye line of the therapist, this would then show Connor again.
  • as the therapist is asking them questions based off their past and how they are currently doing the camera will be changed to be behind the shoulder of the therapist
  • as Connor answers the camera will flick between the therapist pov and Connors pov while Connor thinks of their answer. sound will be very loud silence between the shorter answering time
  • answers will be fast initially and short - questions will initially be basic and generic
  • while in Connors pov every now and then you will see the eye line change from looking at the therapist to objects in the room- showing them getting distracted.
  • while in Connors pov slowly be able to hear other (alters) voices but quietly, as if they are further in the background.
  • As more questions get answered the more clear the voices will get, all while the pov is changing between the therapist and Connor
  • while the time is passing it will then go back to the therapist or Connor looking at the time - with the ticking becoming louder
  • the ticking will silence when concentration goes back to the therapist
  • the therapist will begin to ask more serious questions (about trauma)
  • while this is starting the camera will pan circularly to Connors pov while the camera 'conciseness' will become Connors the therapist question will become over powered by ringing sounds (similar to when ears ring)
  • while the ringing is happening connors pov will become more blurred
  • this state of dissociation will make all the alters voices become louder
  • the arguing is at first loud and unclear to what they are saying
  • while they are arguing the pov will change a wide shot to show Connor sat
  • this is zoom slowly while they argue
  • as there comes a small resolve in the arguing then we can clearly hear all 3 alters and their opinions on what Connor should say.
  • once the arguing has started to resolve the camera will go back to Connors pov
  • once an answer has been decided either the host (Connor) will answer or Connor will answer with one of the alters will say it with them quietly to try and represent when a host will be co-conscious with their alters
  • they will disclose that they aren't ready to talk about trauma -  as well as it being difficult to talk about because of their trauma
  • all while is is happening the ringing is still happening quietly
  • As they answer the question the camera will show their face and their confusion or thinking face.
  • and will flash back to behind the therapist again-  it will show them writing but the clip board will be hidden so blurred
  • the therapy session will be reaching the end and the therapist is trying to resolve the session it will show the clipboard
  • everything will be blurred apart from the writng on the baord
  • all the writing will reveal to then audience that they have DID and the number of alters that the system have
  • the names of the alters will be written and the ages of them
  • it will be written that there is amnesia for the alters.
  • the pov will then go back to the therapist and show them shaking hands to resolve everything.
  • the eye line will then go back to the clock
  • the camera will zoom to the clocks hands and the camera will follow the hands round
  • then it will fade to a black screen hearing the clock ticking.
