LO3.3: Audio

To begin editing our audio we clicked the edit clip in adobe audition. This loaded the clips into adobe audition to allow us to begin editing. However when we put them back into premiere pro we how to export them and then import them back into premiere pro.

While editing the audio, one of our goals reduce background noises such as the hum that the microphone picked up. This noise occurred because we didn't have access to lavalier microphones (microphones that clip on shirts) so we had to use on camera microphones which picked up more background noise since they were further away from the actors. We did this by clicking on the Denoise option on Adobe Audition which allowed us to remove the hum while keeping the frequency consistent.

We also wanted to get rid of any sharp noises and make our film a more consistent volume. We used Adobe Auditions Parametric Equaliser to keep the frequency consistent throughout the short film. We did this by manually dragging and changing the pitch of the sound so that there are no peaks or lows in the sound. We dragged peaks down below 100hz so we could hear them and than other parts up so that we can't hear them to make everything more consistent and make sure that all of it can be heard but it isn't too loud that it would hurt peoples ears. We also used Adobe Auditions Parametric Equaliser to keep the frequency consistent throughout the short film.
